September 6, 2008 - Blairsville Antiques offers quality antique furniture, jewelry, fine art, silver, porcelain, and other antiques. Specializing in American, English, French, and German furniture and fine porcelains, Blairsville Antiques also carries paintings, lithographs, bronzes, and sculptures from listed artists.

Partners Fran Rose and Charlie Johnston, and Sales Assistant Phyllis Janosko, welcome local residents and visitors to Blairsville Antiques. The 2000 square foot antique store opened four months ago and reports that business is good. Fran and Charlie have both been into antiques for over 30 years. Charlie specializes in fine art, antique furniture, and pottery. Fran’s specialty is the Victorian Period including jewelry, purses, accessories, and porcelain.

Charlie says, “Dealers have been shopping here and the local community has been very supportive.” Fran adds, “We appeal to people that want to add to or start a collection. Blairsville Antiques is all about appreciating history.”

When you step into Blairsville Antiques, it is like stepping back in time or entering a museum. Everything in the store has a story and many of the antiques are documented. New items arrive on a regular basis. Fran exclaims, “I’m very excited about a chest we acquired from Boston! It dates to the French Revolution.” Blairsville Antiques even has a collection of Pre-Columbian items.

Decorate your home with a piece of history! Choose from the amazing furniture collection or start with a smaller accent piece. Interesting items are around every turn and prices are extremely reasonable. Fran and Charlie buy and sell antiques and collectibles, including gold and silver. Blairsville Antiques offers eBay sales, consignments, and appraisals. Fran Rose is one of only eight accredited antique and decorative arts appraisers in Georgia.
