Yoga for Health recently
hosted a Blairsville-Union
Chamber of Commerce ribbon
cutting ceremony at Paradise
Cabins and Spa. Yoga Instructor
Pat Tomczyk welcomed guests,
friends, and members of
the business community to
the special event.
Pat
Tomczyk, R.N., RYT, a
resident of Union County,
has been practicing yoga
for many years. She says, “Yoga
helps a person to become
more flexible. It improves
balance and helps people
to sleep better. There are
many benefits including
improving the immune system,
circulation, and digestion.
Yoga helps improve an individual’s
overall health.”
Pat
teaches beginner and intermediate
yoga classes at various locations in
Union and Towns counties
including Paradise Cabins
and Spa, the Union County
Senior Center, the Towns
County Recreation Department,
United Methodist Church,
and OASIS. Classes and private
lessons are available for
everyone from children to
senior citizens. Pat’s
oldest student is 90 years
old!
Pat
Tomczyk is a Registered
Nurse and a Registered Yoga
Teacher. She attended over
250 classroom hours to achieve
the RYT designation. Pat
says, “As a registered
nurse and yoga teacher,
I have a unique insight
into how the body works.
I want to invite everyone
to call me. I will be glad
to set up a private lesson
or register you for a class.” She
adds, “Even people
with injuries and serious
health problems can benefit
from yoga therapy. Many
of my senior citizens sit
in chairs during the lessons.
I also teach Tai Chi to
people with arthritis.”
