and Tile recently opened
a second store in Blairsville
, Georgia. Owner Sam Hancock
and Office Manager Melissa
Groves welcomed friends,
family members, customers,
and community representatives
to a Chamber of Commerce
Ribbon Cutting.
Hancock, Certified Master
Mason, says, "Another store
seemed appropriate after
the success of our Andrews,
North Carolina location." Founded
in 1978, American Rock and
Tile is LLC licensed and
insured. The business services
North Georgia , Tennessee
, and North Carolina and
gives special rates to realtors
and builders. Hancock adds, "I
learned the trade from my
Dad who was in business
for over 40 years." Hancock
has been in the mason trade
for 28 years and offers
first quality materials
with a factory warranty.

stone, tile, remodeling,
glass, block, stucco, mortar
applications, and new construction.

The Blairsville store is

tiles on display. Hancock
says, "Melissa is in charge
of things here. I'm usually
out on a job or doing a
follow-up. I personally
oversee every job to insure
quality workmanship."

Sam Hancock currently lives
in Andrews, NC. He enjoys
acting and recently played
Biff in "Death of a Salesman." He
is also an amateur archeologist

couple of digs behind him
including one with Henry
Wimple of the University
of Florida . Hancock also
contributes to the community
by organizing gospel and
blues events for various
fundraisers such as "Relay
for Life" and the " Valleytown
Cultural Arts Center ."
