Business owner Jim Andrews recently held an open house and Blairsville Union County Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Andrews Home Theater by Design. Representatives from local businesses, Chamber Ambassadors, and friends gathered to see what's new in home entertainment.

The large comfortable showroom features a long wall full of name-brand flat panel TVs. Andrews says, "I can show people different types of applications here in the showroom so that they can make informed choices. We can turn homes into little theaters."

There is a 110" screen and high definition projection system on display. Andrews switched off the lights and guests were transported to another place. Suddenly everyone was at the movies! Scenes from Night at the Museum (starring Ben Stiller) were big as life and the sound was fantastic.

Andrews adds, "Installation is an important part of this business. We can install in-wall or in-ceiling speaker systems for people that want to go with the stealth look." There is also a great selection of outdoor speakers that look like rocks and garden accessories.

Andrews, an Audio/Video Custom Design Specialist, has 30 years experience in the industry and is considered an expert in dedicated home theater and multi-room audio and video distribution. After years of working for large companies, he recently decided to open his own business.
