Blairsville
Animal Hospital, located
at 321 Cleveland Street
in Blairsville, Georgia,
recently hosted an open
house. The Blairsville Union
Chamber of Commerce brought
the big scissors and Veterinarian
Deanne Livingston cut a
red ribbon to mark the occasion.
Around one hundred people
attended the event.
Livingston says, "We have
a state-of-the-art facility
with new surgery suites
and four exam rooms. There
are even two outdoor play
areas with dog runs." She
added, "Here's an interesting
fact. This site used to
be a gas station. I am trying
to find a photo of it." (If
anyone has one, please contact
Blairsville Animal Hospital
.)
Guests were treated to
tours of the clinic, interesting
displays, and wonderful
food. The staff members
used their artistic talents
to create informative exhibits
about serious subjects like
heartworms and tooth decay.
During the open house, the
staff stayed busy demonstrating
and explaining the medical
equipment. Each staff member
also prepared a favorite
dish including Dr. Livingston's
Lemon Bars, Lynn 's Cheesecake
Pie, Alice 's Ranger Cookies,
Ray's Rockin' Key Lime tarts,
and Ellen's Home-made Dog
Biscuits. The cookout offered
more than just homemade
desserts. There were hotdogs,
potato salad, Texas caviar,
and carrot salad. Everything
was delicious.
Dr.
Livingston has practiced
veterinary medicine for
18 years. She shares responsibility
for her animal patients
with co-worker Dr. Boyd,
along with a professional
staff of assistants. Livingston
lives with her husband,
Eric Seifarth, owner of
Crane Creek Vineyards. They
have two boys, Sam and Peter.
