Opening day of the Country
Smokehouse Meat Market Bakery
was an exciting event. A
large crowd turned out to
celebrate the new addition
to the Meat Market. Family
and friends were there to
help serve free samples
on opening day.
The bakery sells gourmet
breads, cakes, cheesecakes,
cookies, muffins, scones,
icecream cakes, fudge, and
other candies. They also
offer a large selection
of coffee and cappuccino.
The bakery uses quality
ingredients such as Amish
butter and farm fresh eggs.
The cherry brownies are
a delightful favorite.
The place is a family business.
Owned and operated by brothers,
Kenley and Phil Redditt,
and their wives, Sharon
and Laurie, the atmosphere
is friendly and relaxing.
Laurie is the pastry chef.
She expects to receive her
Culinary Degree from North
Georgia Technical College
next quarter. She bakes
delicious pies and her cakes
are beautiful creations.
The cases are full of tasty
treats. The breads are golden
brown and the smell is heavenly.
The Redditts would like
to thank all family members
and friends that attended
the bakery's open house.
Kenley said, "We may
be selling food but we're
really in the people business.
We take time to talk with
our customers. I thank God
for this new opportunity
to serve people. Come on
down and visit your local
butcher, baker, and candy
maker."
The Country Smokehouse
Meat Market is located one
mile south of Blairsville
on Byron Hubert Reece Memorial
Highway (129/South) and
has been in business for
nine years. The addition
of a bakery is good news
for everyone that loves
good food.
