May 16, 2007 - Black Bear Realty recently held an open house and celebrated with a Blairsville Union Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Close to a hundred people attended the much anticipated event. Guests included representatives of the business community, Chamber of Commerce staff members and ambassadors, acquaintances, friends, and family.

Owners of Black Bear Realty, Sande and Gary Peterson have over 25 years experience in real estate. Happily married for 37 years, Sande and Gary are both licensed brokers, life time members of the North East Georgia Million Dollar Club, and Accredited Buyer Representatives. Sande says, "One of our clients came up with the name of Black Bear Realty and we all thought it was perfect. It sounds like the mountains and fits in with the area."

Sande adds, "We would like to thank our realtors, Barbara Griffin, Joanne Fischer, Susan Grant, T.J. Grant, Sarah Chumbley, Valerie Jarvis, and our office manager Libba Schurig for all they have done. We would also like to thank everyone that came out today to show support. Thanks also to Joan Drake at Cobb's Mill Restaurant for doing a wonderful job with the catering."

Sande Peterson served as president of the North East Georgia Board during 2001. She says, "I enjoyed serving as president. It was an interesting time." Gary Peterson adds, "We have a new website at www.blackbearrealty.us . Look for the black bear because he's looking for you."
