July 2, 2008 - Branan Lodge in Blairsville, Georgia celebrates 4th of July
Branan Lodge at Wesley Mountain Village in Blairsville, Georgia recently held an informal ceremony to commemorate the Fourth of July. Children from the 21st Century After School Program gathered with residents on the back lawn where Reverend Travis Adams presented a short program of prayer and songs. Many residents enjoyed the festivities from the balconies where the view was perfect and the weather was excellent. A highlight of the day occurred when white doves were released by Dick and Denise Osborn of Hayesville, North Carolina. Later everyone moved indoors to watch and listen as the children sang patriotic songs.
