May 10, 2006 - Carol Murphy Holzhalb, PhD will be available at the Annual Georgia Civilian Conservation Corps Reunion to sign copies of her new book, Heroes of History, Super CCC- Great Depression to World War II . The event will be held at Vogel State Park on May 12, 2006. Holzhalb will be signing books from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Holzhalb's book is about ordinary people in NE Georgia doing extraordinary things. Super CCC describes conditions in our country at the time of the Great Depression. The book is aimed at 4th, 5th, and 6th graders, but makes compelling reading for all ages.

The book is dedicated to all the boys who served in the CCC from 1933 to 1942, especially to Roy, Woodrow, Sam, and Melvin. Holzhalb would like to invite everyone to attend the event at beautiful Vogel State Park in Union County.
