and Family Support Center
serves Union and Towns counties.
It is a place "where children
are seen, heard, and believed." The
mission of the Child Advocacy
Center is to provide a child-focused
community response to child
abuse. The Child Advocacy
Center is a safe place where
kids who have been hurt
can come and talk to someone
about what happened.
The Child Advocacy Center
offers specialized services
including forensic interviewing,
forensic medical evaluations,
coordination of cases through
a case tracking system,
training for community agencies
and organizations, therapeutic
support, support groups,
and activity programs.
The Enotah Child Advocacy
and Family Support Center
is a non-profit organization.
Their goal is to create
a healing environment for
children. Realizing that
every child is unique, services
are tailored to meet each
individual's needs and therapeutic
goals.
The Child Visitation Program
is part of the Family Support
Center and exists to provide
placement, prevention, and
reunification services to
parents of children affected
by domestic violence and
sexual assault. Specialized
services include supervised
visitations, parenting education,
and follow-up contacts to
provide ongoing support.
The heart of the Child
Advocacy Center is the Multidisciplinary
Team. Made up of child victim
advocates, law enforcement
personnel, prosecutors,
child protective service
providers, medical professionals,
and mental health professionals,
the team approach places
the focus on the child and
combines the wisdom and
professional knowledge of
each team member. This allows
for a more complete understanding
of case issues and a more
supportive response for
the child victim and family.
The
Enotah Child Advocacy and
Family Support Center promotes
safe and stable family environments.
