Produce offers fun for all
ages. The rabbit themed
corn maze (which is appropriate
since the word Choestoe
means “dancing
rabbit”) offers a chance
for an exciting family outing.
There are great photo opportunities
with a colorful farm wagon
filled with pumpkins, decorated
hay bales, flowers, and
beautiful scenery around
every bend.
Manager Donna Guess says, “We
are a lot more than a fruit
stand. Our first year with
the corn maze has been very
successful. We welcome everyone
to stop by for some fall
fun in the mountains.”
Kids love the corn maze
and hunting for the rabbits.
Kim Fowler and her three
boys, Christian, Colten,
and Caleb, spent an hour
in the maze. Kim says, “It
was really fun. The boys
had a ball and we found
all the dancing rabbits.”
That's not all. There is
a huge variety of fresh
produce, most of which is
grown right in the neighboring
fields. Indian corn, gourds,
pumpkins, squash, green
beans, tomatoes, new potatoes,
apples, peppers, sweet potatoes,
and peanuts are for sale.
There are also jams, jellies,
local honey, sorghum syrup,
salsa, tomato juice, apple
cider, boiled peanuts, roasted
peanuts, corn stalks, firewood,
and hay bales. Need a special
gift? Choestoe Valley Produce
offers gift baskets, moonshine
jelly, and painted gourds
(by resident artist Joy
Nywening).
More pumpkins, winter squash,
and gourds are coming in
every day. Owner Bill Collins
gathers them from his fields
and brings them in by the
tractor load.
Choestoe
Valley Produce is located
on 129 S. at Nottely Bridge
and Collins Road in Blairsville,
Georgia. They are open seven
days a week and special
discounts are offered to
churches and school groups.
