May 30, 2007 - Cobbs Mill Restaurant recently hosted a Blairsville Union County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Guests included Chamber Ambassadors, representatives from local businesses, family, and friends. Everyone enjoyed delicious food and the quiet, comfortable atmosphere.

Owner Joan Drake said, "We are having the ribbon cutting so that people will know what we offer at Cobbs Mill." There is a banquet room for private meetings that seats 50 to 60 people, an elegant "garden or tea" room that seats 45 to 50 people, a romantic outdoor patio, and a large main dining room with tables and 15 cozy booths.

Cobbs Mill is famous for its authentic Italian dishes. They also offer steaks, pasta, seafood, fresh salads, sandwiches, delicious frozen coffees, homemade desserts, and ice cream treats including milk shakes and sundaes. The freshly made cheesecakes, pies, and pastries are culinary masterpieces that delight the eyes as well as the taste buds.

Not hungry enough for a large meal? How about a top-of-the-line iced coffee or piece of chocolate cheesecake? The outdoor patio, with twinkle lights and a fountain, is the perfect place for a business lunch or romantic evening.

Joan and Dave Drake have many years of combined experience in the restaurant business where they are respected by customers and employees. Chef Dave, also Chef Instructor at North Georgia Technical College, is well known for his excellent culinary program and his great food.

Cobbs Mill is a family owned business. The restaurant opened in Blairsville in 1991 and has been a favorite place for residents and visitors ever since. Cobbs Mill does catering for various functions around town and they also have box lunches available for area businesses.
