December 14, 2007 - Nine students were recently inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at North Georgia Technical College Blairsville Campus. Juliana Turner, Kaylon Cooper, Lauren Padgett, Shannon Woody, Danielle Cantafio, Sarah Maneval, Stephanie Elliott, Lydia Beck, and Jennifer Cruse were awarded certificates of membership.

There were many sentimental moments during the program. Larry Culpepper, Director of Operations, English Instructor Dorothy Hansen, English Instructor Michael Rice, Math Instructor Brian Kelly, and faculty members from the Clarksville Campus made the event extra special with kind words of encouragement and congratulations.

The National Technical Honor Society members have proven records of scholastic achievement, skill development, honesty, service, and leadership ability. These nine ladies can be proud of their individual achievements.

All inductees took a pledge of membership during the ceremony. Parents and fellow classmates listened closely to the words, “…I recognize that as a free American I have the opportunity to invest my talents, my skills, and my knowledge in a career of my own choosing, and I shall always endeavor to uphold my obligations as a citizen of my community, my state, and my country.”
