The
Student Leadership Council
(SLC) of North Georgia Technical
College's Blairsville Campus
recently held a drive to
collect school supplies
for the children represented
by the Court Appointed
Special Advocates (CASA).
SLC President Pam Adams,
Vice-President Jamal Crowell,
Advisors Kristie Gibbbs
and Kathy Hyatt, and members
Stephen Jones and Cary
Rich are pictured with
a sample of the supplies.
The school supplies were
donated by the student
body and faculty over
a period of a couple of
months. SLC also collected
items for Hurricane Katrina
victims.
If anyone would like to
donate items for Katrina
Evacuees, NGTC is a drop-off
point. Items are still needed
in Louisiana and all along
the gulf coast.
The North Georgia Technical
College SLC represents the
student body and consists
of students from each diploma
program. Each year the Council
members sponsor various
events and fund raisers.
Since NGTC opened a campus
in Union County, SLC has
worked hard to make a positive
contribution to the college
and the community. The officers
and members of SLC can be
proud of what they have
accomplished.
