Harvest time in Union County

Pumpkins

October 26, 2008 - Union County is a great place to be during October. Mountain people love to celebrate Halloween, autumn, and the harvest season in general. With a backdrop of colorful fall foliage, decorations range from pumpkins to antique cars.

A drive around the county will provide lots of photo opportunities and scenic inspiration. Scarecrows, black cats, corn stalks, colorful mums, skeletons, hay bales, and produce wagons can be found in Downtown Blairsville, on the highways, farms, and back roads. Take this time of lower gas prices and crisp fall weather to get out and see Union County at its best.
