Artisans are in the final
stages of preparation for
the 10th Year Anniversary
Butternut Creek Festival.
Banners are ready to go
up, regional advertising
is underway, almost 70 of
the finest artists and craftsmen
are scheduled, and there
is a great entertainment
line-up. The Butternut Creek
(arts and crafts) Festival
is held annually along the
shady banks of Butternut
Creek in Meeks Park. This
year’s event takes
place on July 19th and
20th.
HCA
members recently met to discuss last minute details
and to review festival planning
updates. During the meeting
volunteer workers were briefed
on various duties and work
was completed on the banners.
Several committees reported
that everything was ready
for a great 2008 festival.
Also during the meeting,
a special 10 th Anniversary
Celebration was planned
to take place on Sunday
morning, July 20 th at 9:30
a.m. At this time HCA members
will host a small ceremony
of appreciation and refreshments
will be served. Commemorative
10 th Anniversary Butternut
Creek T-shirts will be given
to each vendor and will
also be on sale during the
event.
Through
demonstrations and exhibitions,
High Country Artisans,
Inc. hopes to promote
quality art work in the community and schools
of the North Georgia Mountains.
