Hilltop Cafe celebrates grand opening

Hilltop Café owners, cooks, and staffJanuary 4, 2008 - Hilltop Café recently celebrated with a Blairsville-Union Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony. Chamber Ambassadors and members of the local business community offered best wishes to co-owners Frances Davis, Kim Stroud, and Lee Seabolt. Davis cut the red ribbon to hearty applause and invited everyone back inside for refreshments. Guest enjoyed good coffee, steaming hot chocolate, and snacks.

Hilltop Café offers delicious food, casual atmosphere, friendly faces, and good prices. The lunch menu includes favorites such as hamburgers, specialty sandwiches, chili dogs, and loaded baked potatoes. Soups, daily specials, buffet items, and salads are also prepared fresh daily.

Customers can grab a quick biscuit on the run or relax with a filling breakfast platter. Everything on the menu is fresh and prepared to order with eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits at the top of the list. Lee says, “Our customers are very important. They can call in orders and we will have their food ready and waiting. Businesses can call in and we will deliver.”

Hilltop Café has been open since December 12, 2006 and already has a loyal following. Owners Francis Davis, Kim Stroud, and Lee Seabolt would like to give special thanks to Pureline Genetics, Heritage Propane, Rick’s Rental, Appalachian Bank, Shawn’s Home Furnishings, United Community Bank, Robert Head, and everyone else that helped get the restaurant off to a great start. Kim adds, “We also want to thank our families. They really pitched in and worked hard. We couldn’t have done it without them. We also appreciate the kind words and encouragement from friends and customers. It really means a lot.”

Hilltop Café is locally owned and family operated. Francis Davis and her two daughters, Kim Stroud and Lee Seabolt, are originally from Union County. They have many years of combined experience in the restaurant industry and welcome all their old friends and new acquaintances to drop by the café.

Hilltop Café is located at 117 Murphy Hwy. Suite 3, Blairsville, Georgia. Business hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
