Aaron Stanley accepts check from Judy Bailey Ramsey

December 2007- Officer Aaron Stanley recently visited the Tobacco Depot to accept a $500 check from owner, Judy Bailey Ramsey. The $500 donation will go to the Union County Sheriff Department's Give a Gift program. Stanley says, “Judy has been one of our biggest supporters in the Give a Gift program and we sincerely appreciate it.”

Judy says, “The Give a Gift program helps lots of families every Christmas and I'm glad we can be a part of it. I want all the people that purchased a chance on the punch-board to know that every dollar went to a good cause.”

Judy raised money for Give a Gift by selling chances to win empty cigar boxes. She adds, “Thanks to all the customers that purchased cigars. Everyone wants the boxes!”

The Give a Gift program helps over 100 families every year. The Sheriff's Department hopes to help even more children in 2007 and is depending on generous donations from community members and local businesses. The Give a Gift program accepts donations of money and gifts (unwrapped). If you would like to contribute or need more information please call the Union County Sheriff's Department.
